TM reduces PTSD symptoms and medication usage among service members: New research
A new study examined the effectiveness of Transcendental Meditation for decreasing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and associated psychotropic drug usage among 74 military service members. Within one month of practice, nearly 85 percent of the TM group had stabilized or decreased medication dosage. After six months of practice, the TM group had experienced a 20 percent reduction in PTSD symptoms as compared to controls. The study was conducted at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center on the grounds of Fort Gordon, Georgia, and will be published in Military Medicine in June 2015. Read the story

April 16 - Arianna Huffington to speak at benefit luncheon for women and girls in New York City
